We get a lot of requests to send out information about shows, workshops and other opportunities in the region - so many that, if we said yes to them all, our newsletter would be of a similar length to War and Peace . And we certainly don’t want to start saying “yes” to some and “no” to others as that really doesn’t fit with our open access approach. So we’ve decided to create a Green Room which is just for you – if you’ve got a show on that you want to advertise or are looking to hire a stage manager or to borrow some props, then you just need to register with this page and then you can post up whatever your request might be. The only vetting we will do for this page is to check that nothing posted is obscene or offensive – other than that, what appears here is down to you.
Just to be clear - and not in the least to provide egg sucking lessons - events here are anything that has a specific date or time on which it's happening; opportunities are pretty much anything else - job opening, request for the loan of props, the offer of a van. Although if you do end up posting into the "wrong" section, nothing dreadful will happen!

The caravan exchange is a convivial event for companies and promoters, both international and national, to meet, exchange ideas and build new relationships.
The event will take place during caravan 2012, on Monday 14th May at the Corn Exchange in Brighton.

Routes North: Opportunity for Artists and Companies

A partnership between ARC, Stockton Arts Centre; The Lowry, Salford and Theatre in the Mill, Bradford.
Routes North is a new initiative to help make theatre happen in the North of England. All three of the partner venues are heavily committed to artist development, and have come together to offer a package of support to help enable one artist/company to make and tour a new piece of work.
We are looking for an emerging professional artist or company to make a new piece of work with us in early 2013.
We are offering rehearsal space along with performance dates in each of the venues, plus advice, support and guidance throughout the production process.
Please note this is not a funded initiative and the selected company must be self-supporting. However, we can offer guidance with funding applications.
