Who We Are

The Empty Space team is small but perfectly formed and made up of people with a real passion for and commitment to theatre and the north east: co-founders and co-directors Caroline Routh and Natalie Querol and board members Jill Cole, Mark Mulqueen and Gillian Firth.

We're also lucky to be supported by our Associate Caroline Pearce who keeps us up-to-date with our social media needs.
