And They Felt Proud

In the process of creating Heartbreak Soup writer and director Laura Lindow embarked on a series of conversations with young people that had received new hearts. The warmth, generosity and insight offered by these remarkable young people had a significant impact on the development of the fictional life and times of Cuddy Gill and we realised that if their words could prove so important to a fictional character then they could also have an impact on real young people facing the prospect of transplant.

This realisation led to the creation of And They Felt Proud, a short film featuring the voices of young people that have experienced life after heart transplant.

And They Felt Proud was made possible by generous support from The Wellcome Trust.
